Improvement: Smarter Auto-Payment Processing

We’ve introduced a new feature to streamline auto-payment processing and reduce failed transactions. When a reservation has multiple auto-payments scheduled within 24 hours of each other (excluding pre-authorizations), these are now automatically merged into a single charge.

How it works:

  • The earliest scheduled payment (excluding pre-auths) becomes the main charge.

  • Its amount is increased to include all payments in the 24-hour window.

  • The other scheduled charges are canceled (not deleted), with a clear message indicating they were merged into the main charge.

  • A dashboard notice appears on the Auto-Payment page when a merge occurs. image.png

This improvement reduces PSP declines on consecutive charges and improves payment success rates — especially for short stays — ensuring a smoother, more reliable guest experience.
